Did you know that the liver is one of the most important organs in our body? It can filter about 1.5 litres of blood in a minute.
But almost nobody can even imagine the most important role this organ plays and the consequences of its failure.
Everyone knows that the heart pumps blood, the lungs give us oxygen, food is digested in the stomach, and what is the liver’s job?
The liver takes over far more than half of the functions of the entire body (over 70%). Of course you need a whole textbook to list everything, so we will mention the most basic functions below:
Protection against toxins, hormone synthesis, digestion, storage of trace elements and vitamins, blood filtering, metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, etc., and all this is done by the liver.
That is why it is so important to take care of it. It is already enough to lead a wrong way of life: lots of sweets, many infections, lots of alcohol, lots of wrong fats etc.
The whole problem with liver diseases is that they can be asymptomatic because they have no pain receptors.
So you should know this and remember that you should take care of your liver in the long run.
